Kelly is a Tribal fusion Bellydancer based in Milwaukee. in 2003, she began learning Improvisational Tribal Style and was a member of Barika Bellydance. in 2007, Kelly became a soloist and studied various forms of bellydance. she also studies Eastern European Romany Folk Dance and Russian romany Dance. The fusion of these elements has allowed Kelly to create her own unique style. Kelly is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor, completed Collective Soul Level 1 with Paulette Rees-denis, and a 14 hour intensive with Zafira Dance Company. In 2009, Kelly began designing apparel for both on and off the stage.
The Designs
Like most dancers in the Tribal Fusion world, sometimes you just have to make it yourself. I was in need of a gwahzee-like coat with a hood so I made one. I started to receive requests from other dancers and vended for the first time at Tribal Revolution 2010. I have continued to make other designs (glovies, shruggies and various versions of the hoodie). My designs are meant to be comfortable and with enough simplicity that they can be worn on stage and off. They look great on stage and awesome with jeans. Come join the Hoodie Nation!
